Brother Knights,
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my Brother Knights and their families.
I want to thank all the Knights that helped with project Christmas, there was to many to name so thanks to all. Once again Rouses came through for us even though we hit a small bump in the road.
The Kid's Christmas with Santa was a big success as usual. The kids
really enjoy seeing Santa come in on the fire truck. We even had some Christmas
carols by some of the kids.
The council party as well was well attended and enjoyed by all. The side dishes were all great. I want personally thank you for the help in cleaning the hall afterward, it saved a few of us from a big job the next morning.
Now we start the New Year full speed starting with the basketball free throw on January 7, Slidell Pro-Life walk on January 8, Bonko on January 13, Spaghetti Dinner on January 22.
We were asked to cook a gumbo for the youth group Gumbo Cook-off on
January 28, which the cooking crew will handle.
Then we have the state convention on January 29 in Lafayette.
This just for January, in February we start with the clergy appreciation dinner, fish frys, and parade.
Lent will start on February 22, which means our first fish fry will be on
February 24.
